AIOPet is operated by AIO DIGITAL CREATIONS Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

AIO DIGITAL CREATIONS Ltd is the Data Controller for personal data processed through AIOPet.

• Account and authentication data: email address, display name, password hash (never the plaintext password), essential session data, and limited password-reset records.
• Pet profiles and records: information you enter about your pets, such as name, animal type, breed, age or date of birth, weight, health notes, vaccinations, medications, vet visits, and other records.
• Uploaded KC documents: documents you choose to upload, together with file metadata such as the file name, format, size, and upload date. These files are stored in private, user-scoped object storage.
• AI interactions: chat history is stored locally on your device by default. When a feature uses a live AI provider, the message and relevant pet context you submit are transmitted for the limited purpose of generating a response.
• Vet Finder location: your device's latitude and longitude when you actively request nearby vets. We do not continuously track your location.
• Product recommendation data: relevant pet attributes, such as animal type and size, used to filter and personalise product suggestions.
• Device and subscription data: an app/device identifier, an opaque subscription identity, entitlement status, product and plan information, and purchase or renewal status.
• Purchase data: app-store or payment-provider transaction and subscription references. We do not store full payment-card details.
• Technical and security data: limited request, device, and diagnostic information needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect accounts.

• To create and authenticate your account and maintain secure sessions.
• To provide pet profiles, pet records, private KC document storage, Vet Finder, AI assistance, and personalised product recommendations.
• To manage purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, and family sharing.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset).
• To improve the service, prevent fraud, and maintain security.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

• Contract performance — processing necessary to create and manage your account, process your subscription, maintain your pet profiles, and provide access to the app.
• Legitimate interests — service improvement, fraud prevention, and security monitoring, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Legal obligation — retention of accounting records, tax records, payment records, and compliance with applicable law.
• Consent — where required for optional features or communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting help@aiopet.app.

AIOPet is not intended for users under the age of 13. By using the app you confirm you are at least 13 years old.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Cloud infrastructure and private object-storage providers — hosting the service, account data, pet records, and documents you choose to upload.
• Google Play, other applicable app-store providers, RevenueCat, and Stripe — purchase processing, subscription and entitlement management, and account support. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy terms.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• OpenStreetMap, Overpass, and Nominatim services — finding nearby veterinary services using the coordinates you submit.
• AI service providers — processing AI prompts and relevant context to generate responses where live AI features are used. AIOPet does not use those messages to train its own models.
• Retailers and product partners — only when you choose to follow an external product link; the destination service receives information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, AIO DIGITAL CREATIONS Ltd will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required under UK GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, to protect your data to the same standard as within the UK.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the data we process. These include encrypted network connections, password hashing, authenticated access controls, user-scoped storage, and restricted access to private KC documents. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a personal data breach requiring notification under applicable data protection laws, AIO DIGITAL CREATIONS Ltd will notify affected users and relevant regulatory authorities (including the ICO) where legally required, within the timescales prescribed by law.

We generally retain account data, pet profiles, pet records, and uploaded KC documents while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Locally stored chat history and Vet Finder caches remain on your device until you clear them or remove the app.

You can delete your account in Settings → Delete My Account. Account deletion removes data controlled by AIOPet, subject to limited records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. App stores and payment providers may retain their own purchase records under their policies.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact help@aiopet.app to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

AIOPet uses essential session cookies and local device storage required to keep you signed in, remember app preferences, retain local chat history, cache nearby-vet results, and operate subscription features. We do not use advertising cookies.

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified in-app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
